Problem

A significant gap existed in the knowledge and skills among educators when it came to effectively teaching and supporting children with special needs. This deficiency often led to inadequate educational experiences for these children, highlighting an urgent need for specialized training among educators.

Approach

To address this critical issue, KTC-KYC organized a Special Education Needs (SEN) outreach, designed to equip educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to better manage and support children with special needs in the classroom. As part of this initiative, we were invited to deliver a session on the theme: "Classroom Management for SEN Children," focusing on practical strategies and best practices.

Key Features of the Program

Result

This outreach marked a pioneering effort in addressing the educational needs of children with special needs in the region. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the event as a transformative experience that broadened their understanding of SEN. The training not only heightened awareness of special education needs but also provided educators with actionable insights and strategies they could implement immediately in their classrooms. This initiative laid the groundwork for ongoing improvements in SEN education across the participating institutions. In addition, our services have repeatedly been sought in the subsequent outreaches, which has been held every year since then.
